Rugby League Sports Leaders

Rugby League Sports leaders

In April four of our talented year 10 rugby players attended a three day sports leaders course run in Partnership with St Helen’s rugby league club.  The boys namely Aaron Bretherton, Luke Rice, Tom Mooney, and  Callum Watson learned a range of skills on the “Off The Bench” course, that they then used to coach younger pupils. The boys enjoyed the experience and were a credit to the school and acted as true sporting ambassadors for Cardinal Heenan.   As an added bonus the boys received their coaching awards on match day at St Helens just before kick-off in front of their parents, representatives from the school and the home crowd.
