Year 9 & 10 Business students become Stock Traders for the Day!
On Tuesday 10th July, the Business Department were pleased to welcome BP to host a stock market Challenge.
Boys from Year 9 & Year 10 made up 14 teams to trade Oil on the stock market.
The day provided the boys with an opportunity to put their enterprise and maths skills into action through an exciting simulation of real-life trading. It tested their thinking skills in a work-related context.
The objective was to make as much profit as possible through buying and selling of shares in oil. The teams were presented with different ‘news flashes’ to help them decide whether to buy or sell.
