Pentecost Celebrations

Students From Both Cardinal Heenan and Broughton Hall High Schools Led Parts of the Liturgy at St Margaret Mary’s Parish
The feast of Pentecost is also known as the birthday of the Church by many and St Margaret Mary's Parish in Huyton opened the doors and welcomed students from across the year groups to celebrate with them. Students led a drama reflecting upon the meaning and message of the story of the first Pentecost and followed this up with a time of thought provoking reflection, linking to the exciting event of Synod 2020 next year. Bidding prayers, the offertory and sign language to the beautiful hymn Be still for the presence of the Lord were also led by the students, who were made to feel very welcome in the beautiful surroundings of the church.
Thank you to all the members of St Margaret Mary's parish for making us feel so very welcome and congratulations to all students involved for your hard work and sharing of faith in action.
