Year 9 Dream, Plan, Achieve!

Students Looking at Possible Careers in Physiotherapy
Some of our Year 9 students had the opportunity to take par in the Liverpool John Moores University's flagship widening participation programme which engages with cohorts of 30 pupils in 17 secondary schools in the Liverpool city region.
This sustained programme supports students from under-represented groups to aspire to university level education through a series of staged interactions in each of the school years, from Year 9 up to Year 11.
Schools are asked to identify 30 pupils who, along with having the ability to achieve a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (including Maths and English), must meet certain criteria.
The programme called Dream, Plan, Achieve allowed the students to experience a number of activities and events, including the chance to work with internet bots that made images of what their future career interests may be. The students also got the opportunity to visit the halls of residence and meet students to ask questions about the day-to-day life of being part of the University.
