A huge congratulations to Sean O' Rourke in Year 12 who was presented with the Young Volunteer of the Year Award at the City of Liverpool Sports and Physical Activity Awards on Monday 12th February.  Please see our previous article about how and why Sean was nominated for this.

The awards' evening took place at St George's Hall and Sean said it was a relaxed evening with a reception of light refreshments and was attended by the Lord Mayor, Malcolm Kennedy, Wendy Simon and Tim Beaumont.  Sean was delighted to hear his name read out when they announced who the winner was, and says that although he didn't feel as though he deserved it at first, he soon realised that it was a wonderful recognition of the work he does and it really meant a lot to him.
