We are committed to preparing our students for the future world of work. This year, our careers programme is focusing on Liverpool’s key growth sectors, recognising their importance not only for the local economy but also for the opportunities they provide to our young people. By understanding these industries, students can better connect their learning to real-world pathways and begin to plan for successful futures.

As part of our Curriculum for Life in September, all students learnt about these growth sectors:

• Health and Life Sciences

• Digital and Creative

• Advanced Manufacturing

• Low Carbon and Environmental Technologies

• Maritime and Logistics

• Visitor Economy

This knowledge is developed further as students move through school, building year on year. We also enrich our programme by inviting guest speakers from these industries, giving students the chance to hear first-hand about career journeys, the skills employers are looking for, and the exciting opportunities available in our region.
