Year 12

This year is all about exploring your future after sixth form — applying the knowledge you gained at KS4, building on it through new experiences, and demonstrating the skills you’ve developed so far. Year 12 gives you the chance to, once again, step into the workplace, broaden your horizons, and start preparing for life beyond sixth form. Throughout the year, you’ll take part in a wide range of career-focused activities, including additional work experience, all designed to help you make informed choices, grow your skills, and plan your next steps with confidence.

Task 1 - UCAS Preparation

Start thinking about university options early. You’ll have support with researching courses, writing your personal statement, and making strong applications. Explore the official UCAS website for course search tools, timelines, and step-by-step guidance.

Task 2 - Unifrog

Our one-stop platform for careers and next steps. Use Unifrog to compare universities, apprenticeships, and jobs, record achievements, and build your personal statement or CV.

Task 3 - Speakers for Schools

Hear from inspiring guest speakers and industry experts, giving you real insights into a wide variety of career paths. Find out more on the Speakers for Schools website.

Task 4 - Springpod

Get involved in virtual work experience programmes and employer-led courses. These give you a chance to explore industries, boost your CV, and gain valuable workplace knowledge without leaving home. Sign up at Springpod.

Task 5 - Careers & Enterprise Activities
