Teacher of Mathematics and Numeracy Lead (KS3-KS4, with an option to teach KS5)

Salary: MPS1 - UPS3 and TLR 2.2 (£5,346)

We wish to appoint a Teacher of Mathematics, who will also be responsibly for Numeracy across the curriculum, and are seeking a hard-working and committed person with drive, enthusiasm and inspiration who will make a valuable contribution to the school and its achievements. The governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and passionate teacher to work within a dedicated department of subject specialists who are extremely supportive, forward thinking and friendly, and want the best for all of our pupils. The Numeracy role will target further developing of Numeracy across the curriculum, and will look to continue the recent success in this field, where we hold the Gold status award for the Liverpool Counts Quality Mark.

The successful candidate must be fully qualified to teach within a secondary environment and have a mathematics specialism. The role will consist of teaching mathematics at KS3 and KS4 with the possibility of teaching KS5 in our vibrant Sixth Form, where we currently have very strong numbers studying A-Level Mathematics, and we also offer AS and A-Level Further Mathematics.

We wish to appoint a Primary (trained) teacher and are seeking a hard-working and committed person with drive, enthusiasm and inspiration who will make a valuable contribution to the school and its achievements.  This is a full-time permanent contract. The successful candidate must be a fully qualified primary teacher with the ability to teach numeracy.  The role will consist of teaching mathematics at KS3 (Years 7 and 8) to students who come to us with lower starting points or ‘below expected’ at primary school.

This person will also be responsible for Numeracy across the curriculum, and will work with the Mathematics department, joining a dedicated team of subject specialists who are extremely supportive, forward thinking, friendly, and want the best for all of our pupils. The role will include further development of Numeracy across the curriculum, and will look to continue the recent success in this field, where we hold the Gold status award for the Liverpool Counts Quality Mark.

The successful candidate will:

Cover Supervisor

Salary: Pass Scale 5, SCP 9 - 14 £23,220 - £25,268 (actual salary)

Hours of work: Term time, 35 hours per week (8.30am - 4.00pm), plus 5 Inset days
